This is a hybrid role based out of Malvern, PA (3 days in office)
CubeSmart seeks an analytical, customer-service oriented Paralegal to join its in-house legal department at its Malvern, PA headquarters. The paralegal will be assisting and providing a range of legal support and administration to CubeSmart lawyers, corporate personnel and store-level employees engaged in litigation, bankruptcy and/or self-storage law.
This is an exciting position for a paralegal who wants to gain knowledge in, and understanding of, several different legal areas. This position will also provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to work autonomously, while also collaborating on cross-departmental projects.

Responsibilities
- Legal research of law sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles and media relevant to business operations and pending legal issues.
- Preparation of correspondence and documents, communicating with business partners and all levels of internal personnel, and providing overall assistance and support.
- Manages third-party subpoena and search warrant process including tracking, research, collection and responses.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Risk, HR, Operations and Finance.
- Develop and implement companywide legal processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train and educate Management and Operations on legal processes and guidelines.
- Assist in rollout and legal compliance maintenance regarding federal and state laws across the country.
- Assist in legal searches regarding Military, Bankruptcy, and UCC compliance.
- Strict adherence to company policies and guidelines, compliance laws, and legal requirements. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years of paralegal experience preferably in litigation or contract law.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of computer programs including WestLaw, Tracker, MS Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe Pro.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Notary or ability to obtain notary appointment within 6 months of employment.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently or as a team player
